Good Morning Emerge Students! WoW! I believe we are actually back on line with our High School site, and I am excited about some upcoming ministry ops & events coming our way soon so here goes a list of them:
- 9/21 Parenteen Conference (Parents only!),
- 4:00-7:00 PM, New Covenant Christian Church, OKC
- Register @ www.qsbc.org/registration
- 9/24 See You At The Pole @ area schools (times TBA)
- 9/24 SYATP Northside Rally, Coffee Creek Baptist Church, Edmond, OK
- Featuring: Concert w/ Dre’ Murray, worship led by Ryland Russell, & Rusty McMullen, speaker
- Emerge Students will meet @ Quail Springs & leave @ 6:15 PM!
- We will return by 8:30 PM
- 9/27 Heart 2 Heart Girls’ Ministry Mother/Daughter Brunch, 11:00 AM, Featuring Makenna Smith, 2007 Miss Oklahoma
- Cost: $7.50 (purchase tickets @ the RUTH Ministry table or in the Student Building Hall)
- 9/28 Student Leadership Team Information & Registration Meeting, 4:00 PM, High School Lift Room
- This is a mandatory meeting if you would like to serve on this team!
- High School Students interested must be accompanied by a parent!
- 9/28 HS Bowling Night @ Boulevard Lanes
- Cost: $12
- 10/5 CONCERT: Third Day/Switch Foot @ Ford Center
- Cost: $25 (limited tickets left!!!)

SUPER SUMMER IN FULL SWING!

Super Summer Leadership Camp is in full swing this week, June 2-6, @ OBU, Shawnee, OK. Our students who are attending are having a great week in worship with VOTA (formerly Casting Pearls), & Bible study taught by Afshin Ziafat. We are expecting to move big-time this week on this camp & on our students & leaders. Please continue to pray for us!

Operation: NOAH REBUILD

As we prepare to send 41 of our crew to New Orleans to build, mend, plant, etc. different things on Monday, March 17, 4:00 AM, I am reminded of the simple fact that though the journey be a long one, it is worth, once again, being poured out on people who have nothing in the world’s eye. We may never meet the folks that will soon live in the homes that we help shape, but no worries because, once again, it’s not about us. The ultimate thing here is that what we leave will be a true reflection of Christ and that will make all the difference.
Pray for us as we travel, serve, & return that we will never be the same which in turn will cause the world we live in here to never be the same. Peace.

We are a truly blessed church and student ministry beyond anything I could ever dream of! Thank you students, parents, & church family for providing an incredible place to minister everyday! New LIFT HS Series…HEAT

The Bible’s position on sex is a strong one. God, well, He’s all for it. Truth be known, He’s the one who created it. Look at it this way: His views on sex are like an invitation to an incredible party. He just wants us to show up at the right party at the right time. On the Flu…

Just a quick note to say I am alive, but not quite kicking. I guess I’ve never had the flu before, but I can tell you I never want it again! This stuff has literally knocked me flat for the past three days, and I’m must now feeling good enough to sit up and write something! I should be back in the pocket on Sunday, but in the mean time, have you figured out what the next thing you should be doing is? Give us some feedback!

Post-Gravity ‘08

So where do go from here? What do we do with the gift we’ve been given this past weekend? Pray. Know. Seek. Be. Do. Love. And continue until there’s nothing left. We made a decision as a student ministry, consciously or not, to raise the bar of who, what, & where we are as God’s people. As far as I’m concerned, we can never go back to the way we were, but instead, strive toward God’s moving no matter where we are. Love is truly an action. Let’s do it.
